Dr. Supreet Singh Bahga is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Delhi. He received his MS and PhD from Stanford University in 2009 and 2013 respectively, and BTech from IIT Bombay in 2007.
Welcome to the IIT Delhi Micro & Nano-Fluidics Laboratory headed by Dr. Supreet Singh Bahga. Our multidisciplinary research group uses theoretical and experimental techniques to investigate fluid flow and mass transport phenomena at micro- and nano-scales. We leverage the unique advantages of micro/nano scales to design novel techniques and lab-on-a-chip devices for health and environmental monitoring. To this end, we use a variety of technologies including nonlinear electrokinetics, paper-microfluidics, and droplet-based microfluidic systems. A major thrust of our lab is on the development of low-cost, point-of-care diagnostic devices for delivering cheap healthcare in India. Besides applied research in micro/nano-fluidics, we are also interested in exploring fundamentals of fluid and mass transport at micro/nano-scales including electrohydrodynamic instabilities and electromigration in nanochannels.
