  • System representations: Transfer function, state space

  • Mathematical preliminaries: Vector spaces, Fundamental subspaces, Matrix operator, Similarity transformation, matrix decompositions, Matrix exponential.

  • System Analysis: Time response, Stability theory, Controllability, Observability, Stabilizability and Detectability, Kalman decomposition.

  • State feedback control

  • LQR Control

  • Luenberger observer and separation principle

  • Kalman filter

Evaluation

  • Quiz 1: 10%

  • Quiz 2: 10%

  • Minor : 40%

  • Major: 40%

  • For NP (Audit) grade: Minimum 40 marks (Out of 100)
