I represented field hockey teams of my school, Tamil Nadu State, Madras Christian college, Pondicherry Central University & IIT Kanpur.

Captain of the School field hockey team; Editor for Tamil section of the hostel annual magazine; Gardening Committee Convener of the College hostel; Sports secretary of the post graduate hostel; Secretary of the regional association, student representative of department & senate post graduate committees of the IIT Kanpur.

 Personal Information                                                                                                                      

I hail from Virudhunagar, a major trade center of cereals, grains and dry chillies in Tamil Nadu.

I married my best friend, Shikha Suman,a PhD from IIT Kanpur, presently spearheading a consultancy start-up. We have one little daughter, Kavya .
