Assignment 6: "Human Centred Design for Environment" Project Proposal

This is a project where life cycle thinking meets design thinking. It is about designing for the environment and exploring the role of design to adopt an environment friendly lifestyle and/or practice humanity centered design.
Please form a group of 3 people for the project and put the project group details on this link. Please identify a human need that you would like to get a fresh perspective on. How is this need met presently and what are some of the associated pain points from the environmental, health, societal, economics point of view? Frame your design brief around this need. Conceptualize some of the alternative ways to meet this need? Please compute the LCA using the ISO 14044 methodology (goal, scope, life cycle inventory, life cycle impact assessment, interpretation) to compare your concepts with the existing solutions. Please also look at the health/social and economics based implications. What would be the impact when your proposal is scaled up? Please design a communication campaign/use games/ use behavioral design/think of physical/digital prototypes, other methods around your idea and test them in the real world.

Deadline

Please make a presentation in 5-10 minutes talking about the unmet need and your project proposal towards solving it. Please feel free to use props, dramatics, film/animation, etc to effectively demonstrate your perspective.
Project proposal presentation on 21st October 2024. Please take between 5-10 minutes for the presentation. Please also upload your project proposal using this google form by 21st October 2024.
