Maker space is a workspace provided to IITD students for making, learning and exploration that uses High tech and no tech machine tools. This space is open to build projects for student with equipments including 3D printer, Laser cutter, CNC Milling, soldering irons, etc.
Saftey Guidlines at Makerspace:
Below are some guidlines need to follow to work at Makerspace
Take proper training from instructor before operating any machine, especially if there is a risk for potential injury associated with a job
Regularly check all equipment and tools to ensure that they are well maintained and safe to use.
Before using power tools we should wear the proper workwear(googles, gloves, shoes, full sleave shirt, etc.) when operating such machinery.
Check switch button of machinery before operating it and Turn it off after use.
Clean workplace and machine after completion of job.
Put tools at their proper assigned place after use.
