This assignment is aimed at understanding the different kinds of Hand and Power tools in Makerspace. Following are the details of this exercise.

| Screw Driver | A screwdriver is a tool, manual or powered, for screwing (installing) and unscrewing (removing) screws. A typical simple screwdriver has a handle and a shaft, ending in a tip the user puts into the screw head before turning the handle. |
| Clamp | A clamp is a fastening device used to hold or secure objects tightly together to prevent movement or separation via inward application. |
| File | A file is a tool used to remove fine amounts of material from a workpiece. It is common in woodworking, metalworking, and other similar trade and hobby tasks. |
| Hack Saw | A hacksaw is a fine-toothed saw, originally and mainly made for cutting metal. The equivalent saw for cutting wood is usually called bow saw. Most hacksaws are hand saws with a C-shaped frame that holds a blade under tension. |
| Hammer | A hammer is a tool with a heavy metal head mounted at right angles at the end of a handle, used for jobs such as breaking things and driving in nails. |
| Mallet | A mallet is a kind of hammer, often made of rubber or sometimes wood, that is smaller than a maul or beetle, and usually has a relatively large head. |
| Pliers | Pliers are a hand tool used to hold objects firmly, possibly developed from tongs used to handle hot metal in Bronze Age Europe. They are also useful for bending and compressing a wide range of materials. |
| Spanner | A wrench or spanner is a tool used to provide grip and mechanical advantage in applying torque to turn objects—usually rotary fasteners, such as nuts and bolts—or keep them from turning. |
| Try Square | A try square is a woodworking tool used for marking and measuring a piece of wood. The square refers to the tool's primary use of measuring the accuracy of a right angle (90 degrees); to try a surface is to check its straightness or correspondence to an adjoining surface. |
| Vice | Vise, also spelled Vice, device consisting of two parallel jaws for holding a workpiece; one of the jaws is fixed and the other movable by a screw, a lever, or a cam. When used for holding a workpiece during hand operations, such as filing, hammering, or sawing, the vise may be permanently bolted to a bench. |

| Angle Grinder | Angle grinders are handheld power tool that grind, cut, and polish various objects and materials. They can be powered by compressed air, an electric motor or petrol engine. |
| Bench Sander | A sander is a power tool used to smooth surfaces by abrasion with sandpaper. Sanders have a means to attach the sandpaper and a mechanism to move it rapidly contained within a housing with means to hand-hold it or fix it to a workbench. |
| Bench Drill | The bench drill is a smaller version of the pillar drill. This type of machine drill is used for drilling light weight pieces of material. |
| Chop Saw | A chop saw is a power tool that used to make straight cuts in wood. It may have features that allow it to cut angles, which makes it a miter saw |
| Drill | A drill is a tool primarily used for making round holes or driving fasteners. It is fitted with a bit, either a drill or driver, depending on application, secured by a chuck. Some powered drills also include a hammer function. |
| Cut Off Saw | An abrasive saw, also known as a cut-off saw or chop saw, is a circular saw (a kind of power tool) which is typically used to cut hard materials, such as metals, tile, and concrete. |
| Compound Mitre Saw | It is a powerful tool designed for making cuts at quite a few different angles. Also known as “compound miter saws”, these work by having a blade mounted to a swing arm that can pivot either right or left to create cuts that are angled. |
| Planner | The planer is a power tool that helps woodworkers create parallel pieces of wood for various projects. They’re used to make a board of wood that has already been jointed (hence the frequent comparison to jointers) flat into equal end-to-end thickness. |
| Table Saw | A table saw is a woodworking tool, consisting of a circular saw blade, mounted on an arbor, that is driven by an electric motor. The blade protrudes through the top of a table, which provides support for the material, usually wood, being cut. |
| Power Hacksaw | Power hacksaws are used to cut large sizes (sections) of metals such as steel. Cutting diameters of more than 10/15mm is very hard work with a normal hand held hacksaw. |
