Composite

Method

	Steps to follow for making composite:
	1.	Wear gloves
	2.	Get a plastic container for pouring the ingredients and a spatula for mixing

	

	3.	Estimate the total volume needed for the project. Accordingly take 2 parts of resin and one-part hardener in volume

	

	4.	Check the mix in a weighing machine.

	

	5.	Stir the mix for 2 minutes with the spatula till it turns clear. (it’s an exothermic reaction)
	6.	Pick a material for base and cover that wouldn’t stick to epoxy. (wood sticks to the surface of epoxy)
	7.	Example wood sticks to epoxy so its wrapped with cling wrap. After this lay the first base layer (ex jute) on top of it. Take the mix with spatula and apply on from one side.
	8.	Cover the whole surface then place the paper on top and apply the second layer.
	9.	Repeat in the same order for 4 times and then place the other piece of wood with cling wrap and press the setup to remove the excess epoxy
	10. Next the setup needs to be kept under pressure overnight for creating a hard surface
	
	

	11.	Clamps can be used or the setup can be placed under a heavy weight.
