There are multiple output devices which can be used in ARDUINO to produce different outputs such as LEDs, Sounds, LCD Displays etc.

The door could use ultrasonic sensor and sense the presence of people on the entry automatically runs the doorbell and switch on ceiling fan which becomes comfortable for the people waiting outside.
