My area of research is related to Optimization of Bioreactor Design through numerical modeling using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Modeling of Microbial Growth and Metabolism for the maximum production of Bioethanol and Biodiesel. The optimization domains involve studying various bioreactor geometries, impeller configurations, and inlet/outlet designs to enhance mixing, mass transfer, and heat transfer.
Current Projects
- Hydrodynamic and Mass transfer comparison study of Eulerian Eulerian and Eulerian Lagrangian model for multiphase flow.
- CFD study of Bioreactor for the production of Bioethanol from Saccharomyces Cerevisiae yeast and Biodiesel from Oleaginous yeasts.
- CFD study of Photo Bioreactor for cultivation of microalgae.
- Three phase CFD study of Biodigester for maximizing the yield of Biogas production.
