Anand Nivedan successfully defended his PhD thesis on 26th March, 2024.
Title of the thesis: Photo-Seebeck effect, magnetotransport and ultrafast THz photocurrent studies on Bi2Te3 and Bi2Se3 topological insulators.

• PhD research proposal by Sandeep Jakhar S has been approved by DST for INSPIRE fellowship.
Research topic: Time domain THz spectroscopy to resolve dynamics of complex conductivity in metallic films at high frequencies.

Baby Komal successfully defended her PhD thesis on 6th November, 2023.
Title of the thesis: Helicty inversion, detection, generation, and self-healing of orthogonal degenerate states of polarization singularities.

Sandeep Kumar successfully defended his PhD thesis on 19th October, 2023.
Title of the thesis: Femtosecond terahertz dynamics in spintronic heterostructures.

Vikas Kumar successfully defended his PhD thesis on 7th September, 2022.
Title of the thesis: Microstructured fibers and nonlinear crystals-based terahertz sources and devices.

• Pearson mentions contribution of Prof. Sunil Kumar at reviewers panel for its internationally acclaimed book, "Physics for Scientists and Engineers: A Strategic Approach with Modern Physics" 5th Global Edition by Randall D Knight of California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.

Prof. Sunil Kumar received Reviewer of the Month (August, 2022) award from the journal, Light Science and Applications of the Springer Nature Publishing Group.

Sandeep Kumar received International Travel Grant from DST, India for presenting his research work in the "47th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-2022)", held at Delft, Netherlands during 28th Aug 28 - Sep 2, 2022.

Arvind Singh successfully defended his PhD thesis on 28th February, 2022.

Significant research contribution award to Anand Nivedan for his research oral presentation on "Photo-Seebeck effect in single-crystalline bismuth telluride topological insulator" in the 4th Departmental Physics Symposium on Advances in Physics held at IIT Delhi during Dec 1-3, 2020.
