ELL 225: Control Engineering

Control Engineering course introduces the basic concepts and tools used to analyze and design control systems. Students will learn how to model dynamic systems, study their behavior, and design feedback controllers to make them behave in desired ways. The course covers classical techniques like root locus, Bode plots, and PID control, and also introduces modern state-space methods for analyzing and designing systems in a more general framework. By the end of the course, students are expected to have developed an intuition for feedback, understood how to assess system stability and performance, and gained hands-on experience with simulation tools and design exercises.
