I am a PhD scholar at the Centre for Rural Development and Technology (CRDT), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, working at the intersection of rural energy systems, waste valorisation, and sustainable development.
My doctoral research focuses on designing and evaluating decentralized clean energy models for rural India, with a specific emphasis on converting livestock waste from Gaushalas into Compressed Biogas (CBG) through a cluster-based approach.
I am passionate about bridging the gap between policy ambitions and ground-level implementation in India's renewable energy transition, particularly in semi-arid, livestock-rich regions.
My research proposes and evaluates a decentralized, cluster-based model for Compressed Biogas (CBG) production in rural India, using cattle dung from Gaushalas as a primary feedstock. The study integrates spatial analysis, process engineering, and sustainability assessment to develop a replicable framework for energy self-reliance in semi-arid, livestock-dense rural regions — aligned with India's SATAT and GOBARdhan initiatives.
GIS-based spatial analysis and Kernel Density Estimation to identify optimal CBG plant locations using Gaushala feedstock clusters.
Developing a sustainable, integrated CBG production model with mass balance, digestate valorisation, and institutional revenue-sharing frameworks.
Assessing economic viability (NPV, IRR, LCO-CBG) and environmental performance through Life Cycle Assessment and GHG reduction analysis.
