(Title: Piezoelectric energy harvesting through low frequency non sinusoidal vibrations of civil structures)

• Feasibility of piezoelectric energy harvesting and energy storage using piezoelectric elements bonded directly to the actual real-life structure operating in the d31-mode

• Experimental evaluation of passive rectifier circuit topologies in low-frequency and small voltage amplitude typically encountered in real-life civil structures.

• Storage of energy in the capacitor and battery successfully achieved in a realistic environment

• Successfully raised the technology readiness level (TRL) of PEH from 4 to 7.

Futuristic Technology of India (Virtual Start-up Ecosystem) 2020



Objective:

To bring learning, teaching, and practical applications of the technology together and organize the online workshops, lectures, panel discussions related to the futuristic technologies that are need of the hour.


FTI received participation from national institutes of importance (IITs, NITs, Central Universities), Defense organization (DRDO-GTRE), PSU (NTPC, ARAI), and multinational companies (Shimizu Corporation, McDermott, ADCPL, Indus towers, etc.). Moreover, participation and appreciation were also received from UK (University of Bath), USA (Utah University), France (IFSTTAR), and Nepal.
