This database is a collection of all the available plants (flora) in the Pondicherry Union Territory of India. Among 1026 identified plant species 1021 are angiosperms and 5 are gymnosperms. The plant check list is prepared by collecting data personally by doing site tours. Other details are collected from various authentic databases on the web which are referenced in the links page. All data are collected and organized in this database are for everyone who are interested to know about the plants of Pondicherry region. The web enabled interface of this database about the plants of Pondicherry region has been developed using HyperText Preprocessor (PHP) technology on Apache as the web server and MySQL database server at the Backend.
