Prof. Supratic Gupta has proposed to float a Research Portal, to make research more accountable towards the needs & aspiration of public. Currently, most of the research is conducted in university to fulfill the academic goals of researchers. The general public has no much control on the topics of research. Dr. Gupta proposes a transparent research portal, with more involvement of researcher and public in shared accountability. The researchers will upload their research in video format on the topics suggested by the public. The public will also rate the researchers on the basis of which funding will be approved. More relevant & public-oriented research will help the country much.
