The joint PG Diploma program for executives designed for achieving excellence in manufacturing management is a unique program having flavours of management and technology. The program has been developed by considering the Bloom’s Taxonomy and inputs from industrial leaders and academicians having a vast experience in the field. The curriculum not only includes processes, systems, management using conventional tools but also with modern computational tools like AI and ML. After the approval of Senate of IIT Delhi in 2020, starting with this batch, this programme will run as a Joint Diploma programme between IIT Delhi and NITIE and candidates will be able to receive a joint diploma certificate. The programme was earlier offered under the Continuing Education Programme mode at IIT Delhi. The last three batches of students graduated have developed unmatched skills in the area and their placements have been a testimony to this fact. I believe that the future students in the program will immensely benefit from this programme given the modern curricula being followed and the pedagogical styles of both the institutions. Post Graduate Program for Executives – Visionary Leadership for Manufacturing (PGPEX –VLFM) is a one year full time residential Post Graduate Program for mid and senior level managers launched by NITIE in collaboration with IIT Delhi. The program attracts professionals from diverse engineering backgrounds enabling them to gain a cross–functional outlook and develop their aptitude, attitude and determination to succeed at the highest level. Participants of this course will obtain proficiency in the latest tools and techniques used for enhancing and improving Industrial productivity. The uniqueness of this program lies in the amalgamation of “Breakthrough Management” and “Five Step Discovery Process” envisaged by Padmashri Prof. Shoji Shiba along with NITIE’s trademark management approach and latest technological advancements in the manufacturing domains from the stalwarts of IIT Delhi.
