Prof. Anuj Dhawan leads the Nanophotonics and Plasmonics Research Group as well as the Nanophotonics and Plasmonics Laboratory (NPPL) at IIT Delhi. Prof. Dhawan's research interests include Plasmonic and Optoelectronic Devices, Chemical and Biological Sensors, SPR and SERS based Sensors, Nanofabrication, Flexible Electronic and Photonic Devices, Integrated nano-scale systems, Integrated Photonic Devices, and Computational Electromagnetics. Prof. Dhawan has authored over 125 publications (including 64 publications in journals of repute), filed several US and Indian patents, and has led 10 sponsored research projects as a principal investigator at IIT Delhi. Prof. Dhawan is a reviewer for several reputed international journals. In the Electrical Engineering Department at IIT Delhi, Prof. Dhawan is a part of the IEC Group and the Opto Electronics & Optical Communication Group. He is a part of the Nanoscale Research Facility (NRF) at IIT Delhi as a Core Committee member and as a Co-Chief Investigator of the NNetRA (Nanoelectronics Network for Research and Applictions) Project from MEITY.
Before joining IIT Delhi, he worked as a National Research Council (NRC) Research Associate in the Electronics Division of the U. S. Army Research Office (ARO), Durham, NC, USA from 2007 to 2009 and as a Research Scientist in the Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics at Duke University, NC, USA from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Anuj Dhawan received his B.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from North Carolina State University (NCSU), Raleigh, NC, U.S.A.
