Biography
- I have recieved B.E. (Electrical Engineering) from prestigious engineering college Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (S.G.S.I.T.S) located in Indore (M.P.) India in 1998. At S.G.S.I.T.S, I was extremely fortunate to have learned nuances of Electrical Engineering from great teachers like Prof.N.D.Somani, Prof.B.M Sharma, Prof.C.M.Pouddar, Prof.R.S.Tare, Prof. L.D.Arya, Prof. S.C. Choubey, Prof. B. Sarkar and others.
- Later, by the grace of God, I got the oppurtunity of the lifetime to spent around 10yrs in India's greatest Power Electronics Laboratory from Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science (I.I.Sc.) to pursue M.Sc(Engg.) (2004) and Ph.D (2010). I was mentored by great teachers like late Prof. V.T.Ranganathan and Prof. V.Ramanarayanan. It was the best periods of my life, where I tasted nationalism, honesty, ethics, integrity, work and self satisfaction etc. I have worked on control of grid-connected and stand-alone operation of wound rotor induction machine for my M.Sc. (Engg.) thesis. The work was later converted into successful product. In my PhD. I have worked on salient pole wound field synchronous machine drives. The thesis proposed FOC control, Sensorless algorithms, an hybrid LCI/VSI topology for improved LCI fed WFSM drive.
- Afterwards, I have spend around 2 yrs as Research Engineer at General Electric (GE) Global Research Center, Bangalore from 2010-2012.
- I joined IIT Delhi as faculty member in 2012, where I am currently serving as Professor.

- Late V.T.Ranganathan and Prof. Ramanarayanan were very passoniate about teaching. They have written books on subjects they were teaching for the benifits of students. These books are freely downloadable. These books are self explanantory and will be great asset for both students and faculty members woking in Power Electronics and Electric Drives domains. Here what moved me is that; the Professors always felt that, it is there duty as teachers to write books and provide them freely to students like Old Rishis of India. They were no behind publishing it and getting royalty for their work. True Teachers!.
