Saurabh Samuchiwal

Saurabh Samuchiwal is a fifth-year PhD student in Applied Microbiology Lab. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Netaji Subhas University of Technology, New Delhi, in biotechnology. He also had an internship experience at AIIMS, Delhi, in the pathology department. His current research focuses on textile effluent treatment using microbial consortium-based technology, bioreactor design, bioenergy generation, and life cycle assessment. Overall, it aims to develop a sustainable and economically feasible technology to provide a bridge to achieve a zero discharge system.
Outside of research, Saurabh is interested in nature, sketching, and reading India’s ancient culture and society. He also enjoys watching horror movies on the weekends. And never say no to tea.
