I am an Associate Professor in the Dept of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at IIT Delhi. I am also associated with the Cognitive Science MSc program.
Along with my students, my research areas are computational lexical semantics, with a particular focus on verbs and predicate argument structure. We study the representation, prediction and processing of lexical semantic phenomena using corpora, computational and experimental methods.
We are interested in evaluating language models for linguistic understanding, and in this process we have contributed towards a variety of linguistic datasets. Data reliability and data quality is an emerging area of interest in our group.
We have worked on Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu and Malayalam, and aspire to work on many more languages.
