Identity
Hi, I am Harshit Mourya
I am a Mechanical Engineer who is trying to learn about design. Trying to see the world with designer's eyes and trying to learn different perspective to see a problem and solve it. Targeting to develop expertise in product design to solve different problems and become a good maker. Exploring the other fields of enginnering and trying to learn techiniques that will make me a better problem solver and maker. I love to work in the field of Product design for healthcare and environmental sustainability.
Learning
Machines have always fascinated me, I have always tried to understand the mechanisms working behind machines and to develope a better understanding of these I did my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have two master's degrees one in Environment Management from IIT, ROORKEE and other in Engineering Analysis and Design from IIT, DELHI.
Currently, I am pursuing my PhD from Department of Design,IIT DELHI under the supervision of Prof. Jay Dhariwal. My PhD project is to develop a Video Laryngoscope for people with recused mouth opening.
Roots
I am from Udham Singh Nagar district of the Uttarakhand. I belong to a village located near nepal border of small town of Khatima. The village have plain geography,and no it's hilly region as people expect from uttrakhand, just located on foot of the himalalyas. A small ride of 10 kms will take us to foot of shiwalik ranges.
