Our focus has been on the psychology of gains and losses underlying value-based decision-making, a foundational concept in economic thinking.

This research group is lead by Dr. Sumitava Mukherjee, located within the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.

Starting 2026, we are wrapping up, and hence not accepting any new students or queries.

Formerly, Mukherjee Decision lab, we were among the first to initiate focused research in the area of judgment and decision making in India.
