Biosketch

Prof. Sreenadh embarked on his academic journey with a Ph.D. in Mathematics from IIT Kanpur in 2002, leading to diverse experiences across prestigious institutions globally. After post-doctoral stints at TIFR, Bangalore, and the University of Toulouse, France, he joined IIT Delhi as an Assistant Professor in 2004. He has served as the Head of the Department of Mathematics from 2017 to 2020 and Associate Dean Academics during 2020-22. He has also mentored the Department of Mathematics at IIT Jammu from 2017 to 2020. During this period he taught courses on Engineering Mathematics to UG students and helped the institute in the recruitment of faculty and PhD scholars apart from designing their curriculum of UG programes.

Despite an enticing offer from IISER Bhopal in 2009 as Associate Professor, Prof Sreenadh opted to continue at IIT Delhi, eventually becoming a Professor in 2017. Recognized for his contributions, he assumed the Institute Chair Professor role in January 2019, holding it until December 2023, when he was honored as esteemed Janaki & K.A. Iyer chair professor position of Mathematics from January 2024.

Prof Sreenadh has been elected as fellow of the most prestigeous science academies National Academy of Sciences, Allahabad in 2021 and Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore in the year 2023.

Prof. Sreenadh has more than 110 original research publications to his credit, and several conference presentations of which more than 15 are invited talks in recognition of his work. He has also supervised 9 PhD students and more than 35 UG & PG students. He is currently serving as Editorial board member of several prestegious internatioanl journals.

Currently, Prof Sreenadh continued his academic journey at IIT Delhi, holding the position of Professor (HAG) with Janaki and K. A. Iyer chair professor of Mathematics.
