  1. Dr. Swati Bishnoi


    Dr. Swati received her PhD (2018) in Engineering science from CSIR-National Physical Laboratory. Her area of specialization includes luminescent materials, spectral converting materials and organic solar cells. Currently, she is working on luminescence based sensors and anti-dust transparent hydrophobic coating for solar panels.

    Shalini has completed her B.Tech in Food Technology and M.Tech in Biochemical engineering from IIT-BHU with a gold medal. In the Macromolecules and interfaces laboratory, she has done her PhD on “Detection of organophosphates using silver nanoparticles and molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP)”. The wok deals with the study of the behavior of agrochemicals near interfaces, leading to selective and specific detection.

  3. Prateek Ranjan Yadav


    Prateek did his bachelors in Chemical Technology from HBTI-Kanpur. Then he went on to do his master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. Currently, he is enrolled as a PhD student in our lab. His research is focused on modelling of polymeric microneedle based transdermal drug delivery systems. He was awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Split-site PhD Scholarship which allowed him to carry out part of his research at Loughborough University, UK for 1 year. His research on microneedle modelling will be beneficial to biotechnological and pharmaceutical industries, and regulatory authorities dealing with the design of polymeric microneedles.

    Deepak completed his B.Tech (2014) and M.Tech. (2016) in Chemical Engineering from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University and Dr. S.S.B. UICET, Panjab University, Chandigarh, respectively. He is currently working on molecular dynamics simulation technique to study structural dynamics of biomolecules near sugar grafted silica surfaces and water dynamics around modified sugar chains.

    Nitin completed M.Tech (Chemical Engineering) from IIT Hyderabad. He joined IIT Delhi as research scholar in 2018. Currently he is working on Response of Shear Thickening Fluids Impregnated fabrics for Soft Body Armor.









  6. Yashwant Singh


    Yashwant did his B.E Chemical Engineering from Dr. S. S. Bhatnagar UICET, Panjab University Chandigarh. He did his M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. In M. Tech He worked on Graphene or (Reduced graphene oxide) and Templated carbon were prepared, characterized and tested for hydrogen adsorption. He is currently working on Development of Electrochemical Sensor using Molecularly Imprinted Polymer (MIP) Technique for Detection of Acetylcholine, γ-Aminobutyric acid and Glutamate a Neurotransmitters in Alzheimer's Disease (AD).

    I have obtained my B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur with Distinction and I went on to obtain M.E. in Environmental Engineering from The Kavery Engineering College, Salem with Distinction. Presently he is working on pesticides are widely utilized in the developing world, and demand for pesticides is rising due to the current agricultural product system. Pesticide use has had a negative impact not just on the environment, but also on human health, both directly and indirectly. In order to address this issue for the future opportunities of developing Biosensors approaches for user-friendly and on-site applications.

    Bhawani Pratap did his B. Tech from Govt. Engineering College and later completed M. Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT-BHU in 2021, where he worked on the fabrication of hydrophobic and transparent self-cleaning glass surfaces. Currently he is working on fabrication of polymer material with enhanced thermal conductivity while maintaining electrical resistivity for heat dissipation in cells, batteries and electronics.






  9. Jai Prakash


    Jai Prakash , PhD Student, Chemical engineering Department, IIT Delhi. He has graduated from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2017 with a dual degree in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology. In masters he has studied the Sorghum Bagasse Stillage processing by UF Membranes. Currently he is working on FDA approved hydrogel forming microneedles for transdermal drug delivery. In free time he love playing field hockey and visiting historical monuments.






  10. Rajesh Kumar Meena


    I did my B Tech and M Tech (Dual Degree Course) in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi and passed out in 2013. Since June 2016 I am working at CSIR. Where I have been involved in R&D-related activities on coal. In Jan 2022 I registered for Part-Time Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof Sudip Kumar Pattanayek, Chemical Engineering Department, IIT Delhi. Presently I am working on cost optimization of carbon fiber manufacturing processes using modeling, and simulation

    Abhinav is pursuing Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) in Chemical Engineering at IIT Delhi. He is working on the effect of Fc glycosylation on mAbs structural dynamics and Fc fragment binding with Fc gamma receptors under the supervision of Prof. Sudip K. Pattanayek. He has accomplished simulation to analyse structure of Fc fragment with and without glycans attached to mAbs. As of now, he is working on the modification of mAbs and the dynamics associated with it. Abhinav loves watching cricket especially Virat Kohli.



  2. Piyush Gopichand Bhoyar


    Currently pursuing Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering at IIT Delhi. Graduated from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur in 2020. Field of research is “Development of Paper Coating Polymeric Composites in Packaging Application”. Develop and characterize a high-barrier coating for a paper substrate to meet target property requirements for use as a sustainable flexible laminate packaging product. The critical properties identified for target application are moisture (water) vapor transmission rate (MVTR), oxygen transmission rate (OTR), and heat-sealing. Apart from the curriculum, in free time, loves to indoor & outdoor games, watching movies and web series.
