Research project:

Investigation on CedA as primary protein responsible for coordination of bacterial chromosomal replication and cell division.

Based on previous studies conducted on CedA protein our main objective is to decipher the role of this DNA binding protein in Salmonella cell division and the cascade of events which follow up. This will involve use of biophysical and bioinformatic tools to understand the exact role of CedA in the process of cytokinesis. Also, we focuss to identify CedA binding proteins (CBPs) to gain more clues of CedA function

PhD (Sept. 2009- Jan. 2015). Thesis titled "Biochemical and Spectroscopic studies on alpha-Amylase from Triticum aestivum and its Applications" under the supervision of Prof. Arvind M. Kayastha, School of Biotechnology, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University.
