About us

We focus on foundational topics in the psychology of human judgment and decision making underlying both economic and non-economic behavior. Our work often intersects with economic psychology and behavioral economics. One major interest is in the fundamental aspect of our mind - valuation.

This research group is lead by Dr. Sumitava Mukherjee, located within the Department of HSS at IIT Delhi and uses multiple disciplinary approaches. We are excited about finding new ideas, results, proposals, and potential solutions. Mukherjee Decision Lab is eager to work with students, individuals, companies and organizations who share the passion about human judgment and decision making.

I believe that understanding the foundations of judgment and decision making, help us appreciate our basic nature. It has been a topic of interest for centuries before us and will remain so after us.
