Applications:

   Dense gas-liquid flow in bubble columns

   Local liquid distribution in trickle beds

 
The ability of the ERT to measure time-resolved liquid hold-up distribution was verified by comparing the measurements performed using voidage sensors, for artificially created pulsing flow with varying pulse widths. The effects of liquid and gas flow rates on the spatial distribution of were also investigated for different liquid distributor configurations. (Singh et al., 2018)
