Teaching
Courses offered by Prof. N M Anoop Krishnan at the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Delhi.
Undergraduate Courses
Fundamental principles of structural analysis for statically determinate and indeterminate structures. Topics include beams, trusses, frames, influence lines, and energy methods. Core course for B.Tech. students in Civil Engineering.
Hands-on laboratory course accompanying CVL242. Students perform experiments on structural models to verify theoretical predictions, develop intuition for structural behavior, and learn experimental measurement techniques.
Postgraduate Courses
Theory and application of the finite element method (FEM) for solving problems in structural and continuum mechanics. Topics include variational formulations, element types, assembly, boundary conditions, and applications to 1D, 2D, and 3D problems. Core course for M.Tech. students.
Advanced treatment of the mechanics of deformable solids. Topics include stress and strain tensors, constitutive relations, elasticity theory, failure criteria, and an introduction to fracture mechanics and plasticity. Core course for M.Tech. students.
