Hi! I teach courses in integrated functional prototyping (involving mechatronics, IoT and data science) and environmental sustainability in fun ways :).
Research and practice wise, our group has interests working in the area of "Design for health and wellness in the built environment". We are presently working on understanding the nexus between air quality (outdoors and indoors), thermal discomfort due to heat stress (outdoors and indoors) and energy sustainability. The present projects that the group is working on are about developing low cost sensor networks for air pollution monitoring, Urban Heat Island Effect assessment using sensors and remote sensing, spatio-temporal understanding of indoor air quality, estimating indoor environment quality in prisons, learnings from the communities living a low carbon lifestyle and R&D of medical devices in airway management.
