Research Fellow, Department of Mechanical Engg., University of Leeds, Leeds, UK (Jan 2018 – Dec 2018)

Supervisors: Prof Nikil Kapur (Director, Institute of Thermofluids) & Prof Peter Culmer (Head, Surgical Technologies Group)

This research was about design and fabrication of an automated spray medical device to improve chromo endoscopic surveillance for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). We also worked on developing a colon phantom training model with micron-sized features for chromo endoscopy for gastroenterologists.

Research Associate, Building Technology Program, Dept. of Architecture, MIT, Cambridge, USA (Jan 2016 – Dec 2017)

Supervisor: Prof Christoph Reinhart (Head, Sustainable Design Lab)

This research focused on understanding how the weather conditions affect the people’s usage of outdoor public spaces to improve their design. We correlated Wi-Fi data (as a proxy for human behavior) with CFD based urban micro-climate modelling simulations to determine biometeorological indices in order to help find patterns in thermal comfort outdoors.
