Syllabus:
The course will aim at the students learning how to code some Numerical Methods. This would include learning some basic programming concepts using MATLAB and implementing roughly the following set of techniques: Bisection Method, Newton's Method, Solution to System of Linear Equations, Operations on Matrices, Guassian Elimination, LU Decomposition, Iterative Methods, Integration algorithms, Boundary and Initial Value problems for PDEs.

Course Material:
Numerical Methods for Engineers by Steven C. Chapra, Raymond P. Canale
MATLAB Documentation

Credits:
The course will be evaluated on a 100 point scale.
The internal assessment will be worth 25 points and will consist of assignments and quizzes etc.
The minor and major will be worth 25 points each.
